Betsey 4 Ever

This article is everything I wanted to say about Betsey Johnson and more.

My homecoming dress was Betsey.  My prom dress was Betsey.

I even had a more demure Betsey outfit for interviews.

Going to a Betsey Johnson boutique was like visiting Mecca.  The bright colors, the seemingly endless racks of dresses and jackets and leggings and crinolines.  And of course, the technicolored, tattooed girls who worked there.

Those girls were only trying to increase their commission, but I didn’t care.  They never made me feel like the big girl, having to ask for the only size 10 the store carried.  They complimented my style, told me I looked good, and suggested the perfect accessory from the jewelry case.

I love Betsey Johnson.  And her clothes love me.  I never feel more confident than when I’m walking down the street in a Betsey Johnson day dress.

It’s just sad that the next generation of girls won’t have the same exhilarating trip to a Betsey boutique.
